Noticed at the end of her studies for her poetic and virtuoso playing, Juliette Roumailhac won the Marc Schwok Prize. She stands out in the European Baroque landscape by her ability to cultivate ties with refined sensitivity.

In 2017, she founded Le Concert Universel, with which she recorded oeuvres by Jean-Marie Leclair, to be published soon. Since 2009, an accomplished musician, Juliette has performed regularly as a soloist on various European stages, where she thrives in contact with renowned artists such as Jérôme Correas and Sandrine Piau.

She is regularly invited as solo violin, notably under the direction of Jérôme Correas with Les Paladins and Guillaume Tourniaire with the Ensemble Vocal et Instrumental de Lausanne. Juliette also performs in various ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants (William Christie), the Philharmonic Chamber (Emmanuel Krivine), Il Seminario Musicale (Gérard Lesne), Cappella Mediterannea (Leonardo Garcia Alarcon).

Trained at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, Juliette Roumailhac perfected herself with Eberhard Feltz in Berlin and Dora Schwarzberg in Vienna. Eager to explore interpretation on period instrument, she subsequently studied baroque violin at the Haute École de Genève and obtained a Soloist Diploma.

Her discography includes recordings with Les Paladins (J. Correas) under the Naïve and Cyprès labels, as well as with the Clematis ensemble under the Ricercar label.

«Juliette Roumailhac carries out a personal research on the accuracy and quality of the sound so that her musical interpretations are inspired moments. Her eclecticism allows her to go through the different musical times and interpretation styles of the music for the violin with delight and pleasure.»

Jérôme Correas, conductor, harpsichord player, founder of Les Paladins.
